Westport Village Sports, Inc. Auction Rules

These rules must be agreed to before you can participate in any Auction.

1. A specified number tickets will be allocated for each raffle; numbering 001 to XXX. Depending on firearm value the number of tickets will vary.

2. One ticket will be provided per entry. All tickets are non-refundable, including those where a winner’s background check fails to pass.

3. Last day to obtain tickets is when all tickets are sold out.

4. Drawing of the winning ticket will be within 3 business days of the date the final ticket is sold.

5.  All guns are new, factory made, standard over the counter guns. No custom calibers or designs are included.

6. The winners name will be posted however, no other information about the winner will be made public.

7. By obtaining a raffle ticket you attest that you are a law abiding citizen of good moral character, may legally possess the gun(s) won, have intention of using the gun(s) only in a legal and safe manner, and will or have already obtained instruction on the safe use and operation of the gun(s) won. Are able to pass a Federal background check and have a valid MA LTC or are able to purchase a firearm if you live in RI where we will deliver it to Sakonnet River Arms for transfer and the winners expense.

8. All guns won have been purchased from Westport Village Sports, Inc Westport, MA.  Village Sports reserves the right to make substitutions of equal or greater value if the designated gun is not available for whatever reason and will work with the winner should the need arise to substitute a firearm.

9. Winning ticket numbers and guns won will be posted on the Village Sports website

10. You must be at least 21 years old and a legal resident of the United States to obtain a ticket. Winners must be at least 21 years old to take possession of the firearms and successfully pass applicable background checks. Open only to MA and RI residents.

11. This raffle is void where prohibited.

12. All Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) rules apply.

13. All firearm transfers will be done through a Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer, and all applicable Federal and State laws will apply, including the state laws for the legal residence of winning ticket holders

14. In the event winners need or wish to have the gun(s) and ammunition won transferred to their local FFL dealer closer to their residence, shipping and any other additional costs involved with the transfer will be the responsibility of the winner, and arrangements must be made directly between the winner and Village Sports of Westport, MA.

15. Winners may be required to verify that ownership of the gun(s) won is legal in their state, city or town, prior to taking possession of gun(s) won.

16. Winners will be notified, using the name, address, phone number, and e-mail address that the winner has submitted on their online application for a ticket obtained on the Westport Village Sports website.  In the event that Village Sports is unable to contact the winner it is the sole responsibility for the winning ticket holder to contact Village Sports  to claim their gun.

17. In the event the winner cannot be contacted within 30 days of the drawing, a second drawing will occur.  In the event the second winner cannot be contacted within 30 days, subsequent drawings will be conducted until a winner is selected.

18. Tickets and Guns are not transferable; the person designated on the ticket must claim the gun.

19. ALL GUNS MUST BE CLAIMED AND TRANSFER COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE SCHEDULED DATE THE TICKET IS DRAWN.

20. Any guns not claimed will become the property of Village Sports.

21. Village Sports makes no warranty of firearms; winners will deal directly with manufacturer if a problem arises or through Westport Village Sports, Inc.

22. Westport Village Sports, Inc. limits any and all liability to the purchase price of ticket obtained.
